Christmas Bake Sale

Today I went over to my grandma's house and made Christmas cookies with my friend Nora and we had a bake sale. More specifically, we spent 4 1/2 hours baking cookies cut as Christmas trees, gingerbread men, and snowmen. And then went door to door selling them to neighbors for 50 cents a piece. I gotta say, I think the universe was against us. I mean first, with the cookie dough, it was way too dry to even roll out and cut out the cookies (but we fixed it). Then, with the frosting, it was way too thin and when we put it on the cookies, it just
spilled all over the place but with the rest that stayed on it was enough. Although as fun as making them was, I think selling them was the most fun part. Most people gave us more than they had to and in the end, we got, (drumroll please) ............................................. 57 dollars! We decided to donate all profits to the snowcap food bank (look at the link below) Overall, I think that the bake sale was a big success. It definitely was not easy but totally worth it.
